Over the years, I have worked as an executive personal assistant to senior executive
management for fortune 500 companies which creates a busy schedule. I enjoyed being an assistant and found it to be
challenging, but I was missing my two dogs at home. I had pictures of my dogs right next to my wonderful husband on
my desk! It was heartbreaking for both my husband and I to leave them in the morning before the sun is up, whimpering
and then not see them until the sun goes down at the end of the day. They were excited and full of energy however we
were not but tried to make time for a walk with them. I have always wanted to work with animals as a career but when
I worked at a veterinary office (Flagstaff, AZ) it was not what I thought it would be. So my husband said, why not start a
business of pet sitting? You do it for your boss and friends/neighbors, why not try it out?
We had been using a pet sitter (Hi
Tim!) while living in Geneva, and so I asked him about him about his business. We did a lot of traveling and had utilized
him instead of boarding our dogs (our dogs would come home depressed or fearful and usually had some sort of diarrhea problem)
so he was a wonderful resource to get information from.
So when we moved here to Parker, Colorado from Geneva, Illinois (suburb of Chicago) earlier
this year; I decided to step up and create my new and exciting future working with animals and animal lovers -- pet sitting.
Paws-itive Pet Sitting is the result of ten plus years experience of pet sitting and finally having the courage to take a
chance!
I can't wait to meet you and your loving family of furry friends!

Carol Preston, Dog Walker/Pet Sitter
Most of you
have met Carol already, but I asked her to tell us a little bit about her... so here is what she said!
"I grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois. My undergraduate degree is in Computer Science and my
Masters Degree is in Management. I worked in the airline industry, and then taught college for 9 years.
I have been married to Chris for over 20 years. We have three children, Stefane, 20,
David, 18 and Daniel, 16. We have always shared our lives with Labrador Retrievers. The three we have currently are all adopted.
Bailey, Chocolate Lab, rescued 10 years ago from the Desert Lab Rescue in Phoenix, AZ. Phoenix, Black Lab, rescued 9 years
ago from the Desert Lab Rescue in Phoenix, AZ. Sundance, Yellow Lab, adopted 6 years ago from a family in Memphis who needed
to find a home for him.
We have lived in 7 different states, and have been in Parker, CO for almost 2 years.
If you ask my children, they will tell you that I like the dogs better than I like them.
In my defense, I would like to point out that my children are teenagers, and my dogs don't talk back to me."
